Richard Gere: “Watch Burma VJ”

July 10, 2009 | arun

Thanks to a friend from the Irrawaddy, I was alerted to actor Richard Gere’s promotion of the film Burma VJ, which premières nationwide in UK this coming Tuesday, July 14.

In case you’ve been out of the loop, the documentary follows the 2007 monk-led uprising in Burma, often termed the Saffron Revolution. You can check out the trailer on YouTube.
